A new process for the water recovery for olive washing wastewater based on biofiltration and membrane separation

Filtralite Clean HR 4-8 is used for olive washing wastewater treatment in a 2 m3 aerobic fixed-bed reactor, prior to two subsequent batch membrane processes: ultrafiltration (UF) and nanofiltration (NF). This process allows to recycle 80% of the washing wastewater for an agriculture use.
